2016 Veek
« on: June 27, 2016, 20:30:31 »
I am thinking about replacing my Glee with a new Veek.
Have all of the problems now been resolved from the factory and if so which model should I be aiming for?
I do not want to buy a bike and then go back and forward to the dealer with it.
Looking at new bikes I have seen one with a black silencer, rather than a silver one, does this signify a different model year or just a different silencer?

You have to look for date it left the factory. If you get April 2016 or newer, it has everything solved, ECU including.
Don't trust the word from the dealer, look for the date yourself. Some bikes has it stamped on the frame beside VIN number. Mine doesn't.

as far as I know the black end can bikes are 16 models, all problems sorted out. Any bike with the bare stainless can willl be a 14 or 15 and need sorted but its not a big deal. If you can get an older one at the right price might be worth a look. Good luck

I've got a 2016 Veek with the black can. Absolutely superb in every way.

Also a few 'nearly new' to be had.  A 2014/5 one would be a steal now, but insist it has the ECU done or walk away.  (As you will have seen on these forums).  If you have not read that informative thread on the ECU, get a coffee and spend the next three weeks reading it.  I have had mine for 3 months and just come back from first trip.  Brilliant now in every way :)
