right indicators not working

noticed this morning that my right indicators have stopped working. I have swapped the bulbs over from the left but still only the left ones work. I have fiddled with the connections at the front and back as much as I could to see if a loose connection or a short and nothing. I have tested for continuity with a multimeter whilst off but nothing.  Does anyone have any previous experience of this and what caused it?

very strange goings on, I held in the start button and then disengaged the clutch lever to save battery when starting(awaiting a delivery of new battery)and the indicator started working again, how odd
