Screen fittings
« on: May 21, 2016, 08:26:55 »
Hi all,
I don't know what they are called, but does anyone know where I can get hold of the rubber fittings, the ones that hold the screen on that has a nut glued on the end to take the bolt, and then push fits in the holes, about 10/15mm ( I didn't measure whilst off ) then you bolt through into this rubber fitting? Sorry didn't explain it very well, but hopefully someone will know what I'm wittering on about, cheers.

They're called 'rubber well nuts'.
Have a search on ebay for the size you want (eg. M5) or places like Screwfix should sell them.

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

No clue what you're sniffing TLP, but on my phone that link threw up a load of beatrix potter prints...

Try this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/I.html?_odkw=rubber+well+nuts&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l2632.R2.TR3.TRC2.A0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=rubber+well+nuts&_sacat=10063

Don't know what size they are, but don't make the mistake I made in ordering genuine ones from Suzuki - they were some extortionate price like 5 quid each or something!

Thank you Simon W. My pesky sausage fingers, must be the weight missing from my lack of wedding ring...

Or Rawlnuts, as made by the Rawlplug people. If you can still get the right size, much cheaper than "special" ones for motorcycles.
