Where did you attach the sensors? (or where is it attached if you bought your bike with them already on?)

I bought the more expensive GIpro DS gear indicator. It is Suzuki specific and plugs into the dealer mode connector, using the bike's built in gear position sensor that feeds the selected gear number to the ECU. http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,7061.0.html

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Being a cheapskate, I bough the cheaper one. I have no problem connecting it up, just wanted to see where others have their sensors, not the wiring. Maybe someone has a better idea and did a better job than me that I could copy or learn from.

There are a couple of positions but they are prone to dirt, grease and gunge.

My previous bike had a gear indicator but I never looked to see where the sensors were attached. I may try and track it down and check for myself.
