PCP or 0% apr?
« on: January 26, 2016, 09:11:01 »
Looking to get a brand new vstrom 1000. It's being offered at the moment on 0% finance over 48 months and new Suzuki's sold this year come with a three year warranty. Dealers also offered me PCP any one had any experience with PCP. I ain't to sure what the benefits of the PCP are.

For my wee Suzuki swift I took the 0%. Meant I could keep my lump sum in the bank and just pay it off monthly at no cost to me  pcp was I smaller amount each month but then a big final payment I'd know I'd never save for!  If you can get a 16 model Veek (black exhaust can, not just the wee covers) that way all the problems will be sorted. Good luck

0% finance every time.
I would have done the same if they were offering when I bought mine, instead they were doing the 50% now 50% in two years time deal, so I took that.

PCP is great if you plan on changing your bike every 3 years, pay a deposit and small monthly payment then at the end give the bike back, the part ex price is normally more than what is outstanding and that acts as a deposit for the next bike but if I'm honest I'd do 0% as you actually own the bike.

for sure I would take the free money and leave mine in the bank. You're always in charge in this scenario if you manage your cash well.
Unfortunately over here we'll never be offered that deal nor the 3 year warranty

Thanks for your inputs. Looks like I had similar thoughts as far as the 0% option and the three year warranty is an added bonus. I nearly bought the 650 on the 50 50 last year but managed to find a pre loved one. Which I've still got and have no intentions off selling. Its an absolute peach of a bike.
