Thought should be able to find something on fleabay, as all sort of caps and blanking bungs on there, however, colour could be an issue.

Is that part of the Suzuki luggage system? It is not stock for the basic bike.

Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

The Suzuki luggage system replaces the carrier on the bare bike. Soft Italia made the bags that year but the mounts probably came from another supplier, maybe SW-Motech. Plug covers for fasteners come in many forms and sizes, especially for office furniture and electronics. I wouldn't know where to start looking for an exact replacement but finding something that would look better than what you have should be possible.

Here's a picture of the carrier in all its glory.

That's the same as my bike came with, but I had the pannier frames too.
Old enough to know better, but still too young to care...

I decided a colour change was in order.

Fat Rat these might be what you're looking for...only 99p for 18 from Wilko's.
About an inch and a half in diameter, made from a rubbery material with good sticking power.
I use them on the ends of my handlebars...great for protection in low speed tipples
