2014 Glee High beam
« on: January 19, 2016, 18:37:26 »
I can't be the only one who finds  the  new 650'S high beam a bit disappointing to say the least ? Standard dipped are excellent but flip to high and it's all a bit washed out and unilluminating a bit weak and no real  gain in visibility. Any easy fixes chaps?

HIDs. You won't find them wanting for output...

Check the aim. Many come aimed too high. I really liked running HIDs on two 650s until I got tired of ballasts failing and went back to stock bulbs with added relays.

That is what I found with mine GW. They were set far too high especially with a pillion.

Funny you should say that as mine seem a bit high, despite the forks dropped through 10mm & plenty of preload on the rear.
Low beam seems OK, high beam seems, errr, high.
Overall still on the better side of your average motorcycle lights :)

Adding headlight relays will provide noticeably brighter lights and prevent damage to the stock wiring contacts and connectors.
