I have affiliated MAG membership through the Guzzi club: never really looked at it yet to be honest.

I'm thinking of joining either MAG or BMF.Does anyone know what the difference is between the two groups,or maybe it's just a case of finding the nearest local group and seeing if I like them?
Ride your bike until it hurts, then err...Ride it a bit more.

I should imagine finding your local group could be done on the internet, I have no drum to bang on about MAG but for a small annual fee you can help them in there fight to keep making biking better, safer and better represented in parliament etc,

BMF is there to run a show which goes bust every other year. MAG has been trying to get the helmet laws revoked since 1973 and doesn't look like succeeding any time soon.

Go meet your local groups and see if any take your fancy just like any other club.

I'm a member even though I now live in France. The annual membership is £25 if I remember correctly and they are the only organisation that lobbies for us motorcyclists. They have had a lot of success with bus lane access and getting tolls removed from bridges. Have a look at their website and see what they are up to.
