Exhaust

Quick question which I am sure has been asked a thousand times before.
If I fit a 3/4 exhaust system to my 2015 650 it be a straight swap or is there sensors and stuff that need blanking?

Sensor fits into the pipe near to the passengers right-hand footrest. Decent exhaust should have the hole ready there for it. IIRC the wee's exhaust will fit onto the glee, but the hole for the sensor is a different diameter.

I just fitted one of these. Comes with sensor hole. Really high quality, great sound and a bargain at £230!

Can I just ask you did you notice any increase in vibration with the new exhaust.

Hi Geoff,
                 The Fuel exhaust makes beautiful noise, not excessive but they certainly know you are coming. I love this in the city and feel it encourages vehicles to keep away. Vibration is slightly more noticeable over stock, particularly with the baffle out. On the motorway at speed I usually pop the baffle in to reduce the slight buzz. However the trade off is easily worth it to have a bike that sounds so good. If the V-Strom has any kind of soft image then this baby kicks that out of the window. Compared to my HD Sportster of a few years back, there is no vibration even with the baffle out! It's all relative. For me, the DL650 is a 7/10 bike. The exhaust raises it to 9/10. Not everyone's cup of tea but I'm well pleased. It just feels more 'gutsy'. Incidentally, the Fuel company are great to deal with and I would certainly recommend them.The exhaust has the best sound of any I've had bar the Screaming Eagles on the Harley - but they were in a league of their own although not for softies.

Thank you for that. My findings are the same as yours but cost £100 more (Scorpion). Going to put Grip Puppies on but I also find the slight increase in vibration to be non intrusive.
