original kappa luggage on 2002 vstrom 1000

the hard luggage came with this bike ,panniers and top box and is in remarkable condition. Dare I ask  is this likely to be waterproof without using inner bags? My original givi topbox on fazer1000  is 13 yrs old and has never let in 1 drop!

I had kappa on my VFR for years never leaked once. Never used an inner bag.

Bin bag it. Saves finding out when you get to where you're going and the gear inside is soaked. Assuming it rains of course.... :)))
