For sale.
Genuine one owner ultra low mileage (1400mls ) kawasaki EL250 Eliminator
Bought new by the original owner in 1996 from Scotbike in Glasgow ( there's a blast from the past ) who now own the Harley dealership in Glasgow .
Spent it's entire life in a heated garage in Bothwell ( very affluent area south of Glasgow)
I bought it for my wife as her first bike but she has shown no interest whatsoever so, it has to go .
The original elderly gentleman owner had a double hip replacement in 1997 when the bike was less than 1 year old and following his surgery, couldn't get his leg over. Nyarf nyarf ! He taxed the bike in 1998 and tried again, but to no avail. Since then the bike has relinquished in his heated garage gathering dust.
I bought it last year, flushed out the fuel system, stuck a new battery in her changed the oil and fluids and she fired right up running sweet as a nut.
I took her for her first mot 2 months ago ( not bad for an 18 year old bike ) and she sailed through.
I took her for her first voyage in 17 years, around 100 miles and treated her to a tankful of shell V-Power and it was an absolute treat . Maintained 80mph on the motorway and I'm 19 stone
The tyres are minted as you'd expect with this mileage and show no signs of age deterioration ( they still have the nobbles on them ) the only thing wrong with the bike is that following the Mot I was riding up the M74 and a side panel departed, hitting the front of a Car and smashing into a million bits
( apparently a common problem with these bikes ) I could have cried . Replacement panels are still available though for around €60 .
I don't have a pic of the bike but I'll clean it tomorrow and get some images up
Here's a stock image just in case you don't know what these iconic cruisers look like . Same colour as mine too.
I never got round to registering the bike ( still have the original v5 ) so it is still a genuine 1 owner machine .
She really is a thing of beauty.
Similar aged bikes are advertised with 30,000 miles from £1000 to £1800 and are no where near this bike condition wise. So , I'm asking a fixed price of £1400 .
EDIT ...... JUST FOUND SOME IMAGES OF THE BIKE ON MY PHONE . NOT THE BEST BUT YOU GET THE PICTURE ....
NOT TOO SHABBY FOR 18 years old .
