I've got the horn

as I am incapacitated at the moment with this damned knee and on sick leave I decided to clear the shed out and have found a pair of snail horns that I purchased but neglected to put on ... I have the specs on putting them on using a relay to stop the switch burning out BUT

Question ... on a Glee where is the best place to mount them with the least amount of fuss?

Hopefully my knee will ease off soon and I'll have a go at fitting them.

I mounted mine on one of the crash bar bolts at the top of the frame. Can't remember if you have crash bars though...

No ... don't have crash bars yet .... I was going to ask you when I saw your ones fitted but I forgot ... too interested in stuffing my face with fish and chips

You might be able to use a longer bolt with a spacer... I'll post a pic tomorrow to show where mounted :thumb:

That type of horn is normally of a "snailshell" construction and should be mounted so water has to run "uphill" round the spiral to reach the centre if that makes sense?  :shrug:

Thanks. I think the install is OK then. The silver bit is the opening and it is angled downward and protected by the fairing to stop water rushing in.
