£40 at my local Independent, they just changed the oil (on my instruction) and stamped the book.

An expensive oil change, IMO.

Paid £138 for mine (4000) including a new filter.

The filter is not down for a change at 4000 - but it won't harm.

The service takes 1 hour and 40 mins - plus parts. According to the book.

Plugs checked and air filter checked plus oil &  filter changed. Brakes not touched.

**A recent review of the Gladius I read, stated that 'the 4000 mile service was designed to generate workshop traffic and they would add a throttle body sync to make it worthwhile'.

This is probably good advice......as the tanks off for the filter/plugs doing.

I have know been told it is not £130 it is £220  :angry-tappingfoot:  because I was not part off a service plan   will be looking around to get better prices, is there another way off doing this, ie have the oil and filter done getting the book stamped ,  and doing the rest myself, will this mess my warranty ?

John's right, 2.4 litres of Putoline and a stamp, I was robbed. At least I know he didn't charge me for work he didn't do.

Yes, just get a registered independent to quote for an oil change and a stamp. The rest of it is BS. Don't get me started...

Suzuki allow servicing by others, I read that to allow DIY, but you might want to seek clarification. You don't even have to use oem parts. https://www.Suzuki-gb.co.uk/ccr/custome ... questions/

Just been quoted £315 for my 7.5k service.

But that does include a new back tyre...

Ask for a written estimate for the service.

I usually email the local dealers-

Those that can type reply back.....

You can then see clearly where the costs are.

1.80 hours labour at £50 (plus vat) takes most of the £138 up.

Leaving £18 for oil and £12 for the filter( plus vat)

Shove their warranty,I wouldn't pay any balux £138 to change the oil and filter.
