error c44
« on: November 02, 2014, 05:37:09 »
hello people of the strom ^^
I finally ended this afternoon getting my bike on dealer mode.
it shows c44 heated oxygen fault...

I refered on all post about this error... everyone says to cut the #24 wire, some says #8
BUT there's no such things connected to my ecu on these ports.... it has little rubber cap instead....

I'm lost....

Wouldn't it be better to cure the disease rather than to treat the symptom?

I had that fault on my 04wee, replaced lambda censor on exhaust and fault gone and better running.

yes I'd rather cure the disease of course, but I may not have explain myself clearly... maybe because english is not my native language

I would replace the sensor if there's one, but there's not even a hole on the exhaust pipe.
also my ecm/ecu have its pin #24 & #8 filled with little rubber "tits", it looks like its from factory...

I don't understand why its showing me c44 error when apparently the ecm itself is not programmed to receive that kind of information...

 :stirpot:

and I just came out from a ride. the bike started to choke... and then turned off showing "CHEC" on the dash.... hopefully right at home....

Quote
CHEC shows up on the LCD panel when no communication signal from the ECM is received for several seconds.

Check the wiring harness between the ECM and speedometer couplers.

The possible cause of this indication can be as follows:
Engine stop switch is in the OFF position.
Side-stand/ignition inter-lock system is not working
ignition fuse is burnt.

google found me this... I remember the previous owner of the bike told me I had to change the ignition fuse... thus I didn't... I crossfingers... I can't afford a new vehicule

Yep, English isn't your first language.  :)

I've been searching for them all morning, can't find them. Maybe they're an option?

plot twist btw... it's the side stand who cause the trouble. the bike engine started this morning.
