Glee GPR exhaust question
«

Hello
I'm new here, so Hello to everyone :D
I'm in the middle of fitting a GPR exhaust and was wondering how to put a lower pipe onto a eom manifold?
Do I need to remove this metal gasket thing? If yes, is it still going to be keeping whole thing air tight?
Thanks

Hi and
IIRC when I fitted my GPR exhaust the ring on the pipe that comes from the front cylinder isn't a gasket, more of a stop so that the rest of the exhaust isn't pushed on too far, and the GPR replacement doesn't but up against it.
Have you seen this video:
BTW I wasn't happy with the support given by the brackets for the end can so made up something which is better supporting and that's here:

Hi
Yes, I have seen the video.
Just to be sure we are talking about the same thing, I meant this wiry metal ring at the bottom of the manifold?
Cheers

You have to remove any existing gasket from the OEM header pipes. The GPR pipes just slide over, with no gasket, it's an interference fit with a clamp for security. I was also a tad sceptical, but it doesn't seem to leak.
