Fuel tank breather (?) hose routing
« on: August 14, 2014, 08:11:07 »
I did something a little bit stupid last night. I was changing my air filter, and forgot to disconnect the breather hose from the tank. When I lifted the tank, the hose came with it. I have put it back on now and just stuffed the hose down the side of the bike so that it emerges next to the rear brake lever, but it doesn't really look right higher up on the bike and I seem to have a lot of spare hose that probably ought to be following some specific route down through the bike. Can anyone confirm where it should go, or even better, provide a photograph? Thanks!

The service manual has a diagram to show routing. IIRC it just routed along the same path as the wire that goes to the starter, except that it obviously continues straight down instead of bending towards the front of the engine.
