Rev Counter problem
« on: July 26, 2014, 12:01:28 »
Was out yesterday for a run and noticed the rev counter take on a will of its own. Needle jumping up and down from zero to red line. Seems to start when speed is about 55mph and moving through gears. When at a steady speed and not useing gears appears to work normally.

Anyone had a similar problem. Could it be a bad connection if so where is the connection.

There is a large connector under a rubber cover in the left side of the fairing as well as the connection to the instrument case itself and the ECU.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s
