My knob has fallen off !
« on: March 17, 2014, 16:03:52 »
Hi all,
Just started to clean my bike today and I noticed that the knob/dial that controls the Suzuki OE heated grips is missing, must have caught on the tank bag.
I have spoken to my local dealer, he thinks it doubtful that he can get a replacement.
Any one out there got an old one or any good ideas.

Does it have a shaft sticking out or a hole to put one in, either way but some polymorph balls and make a new one. It might not look that great but should work if you can't find anything else.

It's a splined shaft like a modern tap if you take the top off.
That plastic looks useful stuff, I might just get some to keep in the garage.

Thanks

Look on the RS Components website, they sell lots of different knobs for use with electrical dials and such. Measure the shaft so you can get something that fits.

ps. Didn't expect to use the words "knobs" and "shaft" today...

Not without sniggering at least!

Check for guitar volume/tone knobs on ebay.. they are mostly splined shafts and cost about £1..
