My info could be a little out of date, but I think it's accurate. I got it from the CalSci site, there is a long, interesting article on oil there. One could probably run semi for 8k miles for a very long time and not notice any detrimental effects on some of the lower power bikes, but I don't know enough to know if it's a good idea on the Veek or not :shrug:

I run semi in my DR-Z and change at 1500k or less miles. Those engines are tough on oil and can suffer oil starvation in some cases so I keep it fresh.
