Final chapter in my fiddling.
It's now as high as it will go. It has 9mm of rubber tube as spacers under the bottom screws, this is just about the max to retain the original self-tapper plastic screw on the trims.
It works ! Up to any speed I dare do in the UK at Christmas it's as good as any bike I've owned.
But I can't stop thinking the Yank bracket would be a more elegant solution, we'll see later.
