vstrom 1000 front wheel spacers
« on: October 18, 2013, 17:46:56 »
Hi everyone, I've just got my 2 tyres changed to the michelin pilot 3.

I had to take the wheels off to be changed, and can't remember for the life of me if there's supposed to be 2 spacers on the front or just the one.

The reason I ask, is it looks odd just having the one on the right hand side as you look at it from the front.

I'm in tired mode as just back from holiday, so be gentle lol

Just one spacer is used. The right side variability allows the fork leg freedom to locate its proper position and the pinch bolts on the bottom keep it fixed there.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

Thank you very much my friend, I thought that was the case but had confused myself in the process. Thank you again.
