If its a more powerful version of the 2012 V Strom 650, what a machine it should prove to be. I road tested a Versy's 1000 and found that superb, my guess is Suzuki may even put better suspension than the Kawasaki on it and they will have a winner on their hands. The Suzuki's have IMHO started to recapture much of their old shine and are turning out some great bikes. Looks like another winner  on the way soon !

£9999 plus OTR charges  lol

I'll be waiting till it gets well under £9k, or take a trip to Europe where they'll be €10k, allegedly.

Let's see how hard that £10k price is after a few months. I fully expect dealers to start discounting them after the initial rush of interest.

My guess is much nearer to £8500 including OTR by Autum next year.

Quite like the look and will definately consider one next autumn/winter at 8500 pounds though will want hand guards, centre stand and belly pan for that.Really gets on my nerves when they try to sell you half a bike.....is why I ride a wee strom expedition.

I think they may get a bit worried about sales at first, I mean they have marketed it to the sensible older rider that wants comfort and power, these sensible older riders are going to wait until the price drops.

I think they'll sell plenty at first... it's a new adventure bike which is a big selling class now, it'll be in all the magazines with reviewers saying "it's a really good bike!" (as most modern bikes are now pretty good) and saying it's the alternative adventure bike for those who want good fuel economy. That'll sell plenty of them initially...

... then 6-12 months later that will tale off and they'll drop the price.........

......... then I'll pounce! Muahaha!! :)  Probably not even then though, but we'll see, I'm more open to the possibility of the Veek now than I have been before.
