Busticated front n/s indicator
« on: September 29, 2013, 18:46:09 »
Dropped Big Suze (again).

The front N/S indicator moulding which backs the transparent front lens has broken off. I have super glued it back together and reinforced it with tape.
I shall get a new one but it looks as though the fairing needs to come off. Please, please tell me I don't have to do that! Is there any way to replace it without going to such lengths? I hate all that sort of thing :D

If you are just replacing the indicator stalk and lens, you don't need to undo the fairing. It's all very accessible as far as I remember (from the last time I dropped it in the driveway!). You can reach up front underneath the front of the fairing, with an open ended spanner. It's  a little fiddly, but definitely doable.
