strange regional variations in addition to super unleaded and for Total petrol.

Good link and the one I read some time ago and one that raised my original concerns.  I will be using super unleaded from now on in all of my bikes I think

We have a rider who is approaching 300,000 miles on a DL1000 and almost all of that is on 10% ethanol 87 (R+M)/2 octane. That's about 92 in the UK. You worry too much.

Maybe I am, but 2 of mine have carburettors and one is an Aprilia that has been identified as suffering the same fuel tank problem as Ducati models.
I would rather spend that little extra in fuel than risk them as they are all my pride and joy.
