Touratech fog lights
« on: July 21, 2013, 00:23:10 »
does anyone know if the touratech fog light mounts for the DL650 http://shop.touratech.de/vehicle-equipm ... pe=833_821 and the ones for the 1000
are interchangeable?  http://shop.touratech.de/vehicle-equipm ... pe=832_821

I m particularly interested if the ones for the 1000 can be fitted on the 650..because I don't see touratech list them in the 650..only in the 1000 section and vice versa

Your links aren't working so we can't see the exact products you're referring to.

I m talking about part number 01-040-3006-0 and whether can be fitted on DL650 instead of the 01-390-0083-0 that is recommended on the DL650

As far as I can tell they should be interchangeable. The only issue that might crop up is clearance for the front indicators, but if that happens could just as well replace the indicators with some nice LED ones.

Perhaps it's a good idea to call them and ask if there's any reason that they know about that means that it's not interchangeable?

I think that's the best way to go, in order to avoid sth that is not suitable..I would prefer the DL1000's ones but I have to be sure..

The 650 ones are far out and will get hit in a fall. The 1000 ones look like they are tucked in enough to not be a problem (at least as far as I can see.)

the difference has probably to do with the indicators on the early dl1000s and that's probably the reason that it can't be placed on the DL650..

I purchased a kit, but I m quite disatisfied for the amount of money that it costs.. not matching bolts etc etc.. I would expect more from a 250euro kit..
the cover with the touratech logo looks very cheap..
