Could I have some advice pls. I'd like to buy a wee. This time want to do in a proper way. Asking around and WAIT for the right one. My last buy was a impulse buy and just sold it. My questions are: Is it better an older wee-'05 with less miles or a new '08 with 44000 miles? On e-bay there is one and it's says 49bhp!!! Isn't wees are 60bhp? Dealer or private sellers are preferred??  Thnx. :violin:

Hi mate,

Don't be put off too much by mileage, as long as there is sufficient service history to show the bike has being looked after. The engines are pretty much bullet proof

If unsure, ask is the oil can be dropped in front of you so you can see if it has any lumps and bumps in it.

+1 to not worrying too much about the mileage. Bought my Strom at 29k, it's still going strong at 101k and it's never been opened other than the cam covers to check valves. It hasn't had an easy life either
