Autumn is definitely late, you can tell by the colouring on the trees. Hopefully that means a short winter (overly optimistic? )

Nope it means a horribly deep and extended winter missing out both Spring and Summer 2013 before going straight back into Autumn....

That's what I'm anticipating! Spent the last few weeks "winterizing" my bike and not finished yet, either. Still trying to find muffs that fit over the stock hand guards. Waiting for the fog lights to arrive (deer-filled country roads + long nights = accident waiting to happen) so I can fit those.
Had new tyres fitted on Monday, the Optimate hooked up in the garage, a gas heater in there too (because nothing kills a battery quicker than sub-zero temperatures), I've changed all the brake pads, removed all element-exposed chassis bolts and put an appropriate amount of copper slip on the threads before putting them back in... basically putting in to practise what needs to be done to prevent what happened to my bike in 2010!
Oh, and I've fitted a much bigger screen too! No way I'm getting caught out in a blizzard again with nothing between the oncoming snow and my visor. My left hand has never been so cold (was so bad I physically couldn't clutch).

Most important thing I'll need this winter: as much FS365 and ACF-50 as I can get my hands on  :auto-dirtbike:
Black DL650AK9 GT, 09 reg: 1" lower front and rear, USB charging and lighter sockets, Madstad bracket, Slipscreen and large Givi screens (for purpose), Aux Light Bar, fog lights (switched), custom ignition-switched wiring loom

Stuff winter. I love Autumn. Get out on your bike and see the colours of those trees! Brilliant!

(this is a rare opportunity to use the word brilliant with it's true meaning!)

I had a crisp 4 today in East Kilbride. I've bought a set of glove liners for this year hehe.

I just love riding... summer, winter, spring autumn.... Spring and autumn are favorites, but you can't beat a nice dry day in the middle of winter with the roads to yourself!!   :auto-dirtbike:

If winter is coming soon, I better sort my gear...

HG king trouser - Check
HG Valley Jacket - Check
Winter gloves - Check
Sealskin socks - Check
Extra socks in bag - Check
Bus ticket - Check

I don't have to use the bike every day this year to get to work  :lala:
still haven't done a car test, but moved back to the old store, so I can bus it when the temp drops past 0 degrees
