2007 engine on to 2008 Wee Strom

Hello,

I recently traumatically blew the engine on my 2008 wee strom and am looking at purchasing a new engine to fit. I am hoping to find out if a 2007 engine will fit or if it would be easily achievable to fit a SV650 engine.

I'm not an expert so would be throwing money at ebay and my local grge to fit for me.

Any help or guidance appreciated.

The alternator is different. That shouldn't be a deal breaker though.
