Regulator Rectifier ??

hi all I have a v strom 1000 on a 06 plate  my Regulator Rectifier is not working so my bike shop tells me
my Regulator Rectifier has 7 wires, 4 wires to one white plug, 3 wires to one black plug, I been looking on
ebay thar is one on there  but it is off a 07 plate ???? what do you all think  will it be OK  or not ??

I had a Dealer Recall for my rectifier a few months ago, although it's an 08 plate.  It could be worth checking with the Main Dealer to see if this was a problem that also existed on the 07!  That way it'll be done for you for free

The recall does not apply to other years. There was just the one bad batch that did not even apply to all the R/Rs of that year. The 2002 DL1000 has a different R/R from all the other years. 2003 and all later years can be swapped.

so  grey wolf what you are saying.  if it look like what is on my o6 bike it will work  don't want to wast £75  as I reely haven't got that to wast . "times are hard"

Yes. 2006 and 2007 Vees use the same part and the recall does not apply to either year.
