« on: July 07, 2012, 02:41:50 »
K9 99 V Strom 650 Engine at idle ticks over fine 1400 rpm. problem occures when bike is running and I am slowing down I.e. roundabouts traffic lights etc., rpm drops to less than 500 which results with the engine stalling. Any idea's ?

That's often a TPS problem. Make sure it's properly adjusted and it may be necessary to replace it. There is a long thread on the subject at http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,6564.0.html but the conclusion is a TPS problem.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
