This is the bike that started my love affair with my Vee.  Was wondering around George White around this time last year and saw that bike and decided I wanted one.  Couldn't afford that particular one though.

Might pop down this afternoon and see what is happening down there.  I know I'll miss the auction, but I playing Daddy-day-care while wifey is at work, and more than likely I'll start bidding on the shiny new VFR1200 they have there!  <!-- s:) -->:)<!-- s:) -->

Went to the one in Slough this afternoon, what a crock of poo, it was like a shop full of seconds, I'm sure if you are starting out there will some cracking deals for a helmet but there was nothing that made me want to get my wallet out.

There was a number of asian blokes who kept coming in and out asking about stuff then going back outside on the phone, think they were trying to get a bulk deal.  Watch out ebay.

Fancy a brew at Loomies PM me.

Got down there (Swindon) for about 3:30pm today.  Still very busy, very big queue if you were paying with Plastic, the 'cash only' line was very short.

They've got lots of stuff, all the 'outlet' stuff has been put out in the main showroom and prices are not too bad.

Parked up next to a very shiny looking Vee, any one want to own up to that one?  ;)

:) T'Was me  and the Mrs    She let me out to play with the Savings.

Waste of time really, as mentioned some of the kit on sale did look as if it had come out of a store room from some cheap outlet.  BTW picked a nice jacket for 50 quid, queued for 2 and a half hours, what crap service.

Tried to haggle for a set of crash bars for the DL650 then found out they are not compatible with my Vee .......... :GRR:

I went to the shop in Swindon today and like others have said it was chaos.  Saw a padded and armoured denim jacket that looked quite good for £30 but want going to queue with all of the others.
Saw Shoie DS helmets there for around £259 but they only had small and extra small sizes.  Arai helmets were discounted but not much and you could probably get a deal just as good

I popped down there yesterday with the GF in tow, and we were quite disappointment to say the least. I was after some goretex boots and a Garmin Zumo 220 and they wern't reduced as much as we were expecting. A quick google search soon found everything cheaper on the net.

Still was a nice 185mile ride out with only 35mile done on the M4 (J11-15). Came back via Marlborough, Sailsbury, Romsey, Winchester, Loomies and home. Great ride indeed.

Went to this event and was like most dissappointed.  I went to the Swindon Branch and looked at several items and to be hoest most prices could have been beaten at my local bike shop.  Plus no way would I have joined the line at the till.

One point, their was a Vstrom 1000 parked down the road with his panniers on the wrong sides.  Thier is a clue in this, the red refelctors should go to the rear.  Rememebr that if the releftors are to the front, strictly speaking you are breaking the UK's lighting regulations which prohibit the use of forward facing red lights or reflectors.

Still looking at some of the adds on ebay the owner isn't the only one to be confused on this.

Spoke to someone who went to the Swindon store on Monday and their were another 3 customers who turned up while they were their and 8 members of staff.
I am wondering how long they will last with those numbers.  I for one would only buy heavily discounted items from them as I suspect any warrentee would be useless once they run out of stock.
Also spoke to someone who went to the auction.  Bikes were not that cheap.  1991 1500 goldwing went for £4300 I understand which is pretty much the right money

Popped in to the Swindon branch today and they are selling off all of the manuals that the workshop had.  Must be hundreds of original and haynes manuals for Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and Triumph.
Picked up a genuine Suzuki DL650 workshop manual for £5.
