Biker Petition Please help
« on: June 02, 2012, 10:02:34 »
We need 2,000 more signatures for the Biker Petition to get to the 50,000 mark, at which point Steve Baker, MP for Wycombe who is a motorcyclist, has promised to blog about it!

Help us get to the 50,000 before the weekend, sign and share it now! http://bit.ly/ynXsd9

Signed - Can't see any harm in making car drivers aware of us bikers at any time! The more we remind them the more chance of it sticking in their minds lol

Think it was below 7000 when I signed it......really glad it's gathered momentum.

Why did I bother?

I think Gasman1975 summed it up perfectly..... :thumb:

Thanks all for taking the time. I have no real fingwer in the pie except being a biker myself and was forwarded this. I can use a Tesco line here: Every little helps. Maybe, just maybe we can reduce the amount of times the following phrase is used: Sorry mate, I did not see you.

Signed. Maybe if we educate car drivers to look out the window before opening their door, learner bikers would not have to perform the dangerous move of simulating a car door opening in front of them -  riding at a minimum of 30 mph - dodgy manoeuvre for a new rider. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8067212.stm
Cheers,
Mark
