The bracket and fixings look a bit of a bodge !
Think I'll look into this as my next mod , but also with a lower half mudguard ..

I think it would look better with a different mudguard, because the original looks spindly in that position.

I think the standard one don't suit the bike , its much like the mudguard from a 90's sports bike !

Just put a touratech one on mine, bought it on eBay.
I think it looks great but I'm not sure I'd want to pay £120 for a new one.

I think you could probably engineer something to bolt on top of a fork brace?
I like the look of it very much but I'll stay standard with an extension to keep the sh*te off the engine and bash plate...

Bolting it to the bottom triple clamp also has the benefit of less unsprung weight on the front
