Spring change
« on: November 11, 2011, 18:09:58 »
I've got a Hyperpro spring on order for my rear shock , the original is to soft when 2 up . I'll need to compress the original spring to remove it and also compress the Hyperpro spring to reassemble the shock .

Has anyone had to do this ? What did you use to compress the spring ?

I guess you'd need something like this Locksmith......
http://www.rapidonline.com/buy/products/19392-motorcycle-coil-spring-compressor.html

A bit pricy for something you'd use once in a bike's lifetime....

Hopefully someone on here has one they can loan you?  :thumb:

Seen these but not sure if the hooks would go between the coils of the spring ! Cheap enough..

Revs Suspension did it for me for £10, look for a local place that works on motorcycle suspension, they will have a hydraulic press and shouldn't charge much either.
