Title: Givi crash bars ... well worth the investment ..
Post by: Danny on March 15, 2011, 16:10:59
Bike toppled over last night when I parked it ... my own fault, stopped on an incline and it went over slowly when I wasn't concentrating ... The nearside crash bar came to rest on the kerb but it saved the fairing without a doubt ... a passing good samaritan helped me pick it back up ...
End result very slight marks on the bar which will go easy enough with a bit of hammerite or similar ... but if you're thinking of fitting them, worth every penny ...

Glad they saved the expensive bits!  I've just bought some, pick up and fit Saturday.

+1 they saved my panels when I had a walking speed topple on an iced up road  :thumb: I also have the Givi bars.

I don't mean to be a party pooper but remember to inform your insurance company as some class the bars as modification. Mine charged me £25. I tried to argue that I fitted them to prevent damage but they didn't want to know.
