Just noticed a leak on my front forks, not surprising 16 years old but good.
I replaced the fork seals on my CB750 F2 before....so, are there any pitfall I should look out for, I know I need to get genuine replacement parts !....many thanks in advance.....bob

If I have a leaky fork seal I try running one round before replacing the seal . Sometimes works..sometimes doesn't :shrug: If it has been leaking a while though , even if the sealmate works you may have to check and top up the oil due to loss, and might as well change the oil anyway in that case.
Depending on how many miles on the bike the fork bushes may be worn and now is the time to check and replace if needed.
Now is also the time to upgrade with emulators , if you feel the need.

I use a piece of pvc pipe to reseat the new seals. As you have done right way up forks before the 650s are bog std so nothing else to look out for.

:thumb: to a sealmate. Definitely worth a shot, seems to have worked for me.

If I recall, the fork seals from Suzuki where supplied as a single kit for one side, thus if both side needed to be done, two set of seals had to be ordered.
The fork seals being pricey at the time, I could have saved a few quid, by rather buying the Honda 51490-MCF-000 kit which as for the Suzuki kit, also comes for a single side.

Cheap version of Seal Mate, cut a plastic Coke bottle to a similar shape approx. 10 x 2.5 cm. It's not rocket science or anything special it just allows you to clean gunge out that may be trapped between the seal and stanchion.
As said, give it a try first. If the seal has been slightly disturbed give it overnight to find it's original form.
