Bike was laid up for a week or so while I went on holiday and when I got back I noticed the nose was flexing and bouncing faaaar too much during normal riding so started exploring and noticed one of the bolts connecting the nose sub-frame to the frame had disappeared and the other one wasn't even close to finger tight!
Check all your bolts regularly, lucky I found this a few days before my MOT and happened to have a spare bolt lying around!

Thanks for that kingmonkey I better go and check mine

Good spot :fix:

We had 2 bikes with the same bolt missing on ST7 back in 2014.
A rummage around in my bag of spares we replaced the missing and tightened the loose ones.
Every other bike was checked there and then in an Oban carpark.

Yeah, such a strange way to go as well, like it was fine one day then all over the place the next. I think maybe I didn't notice the movement getting gradually worse as I ride every day, so when I didn't use it for a week and jumped back on it was instantly noticeable.

happened to me on a k6 - Wondered what the hell was going on when I hit a bump at 70mph!

Aye, there's a hell of a lot of flex in those fairings, eh!
