Title: 2016 DL1000 L6 Shock linkage Torque settings
Post by: Griff2 on August 30, 2018, 09:47:54
I need to check and regrease the shock linkage on my 2016 L6. I can get linkage torque settings for the models prior to 2014 but not for my 2016. Can anyone help out here ?   Thanks

Hello. Go to Aventure rider forum, go to land of the rising sun aventure bikes and find the Suzuki DL1000 2014 section. The last few pages had a article on the link.

Easier if I do it I guess. Cushion lever bolts 98nm (71lbs ft) and lower shock bolt 50nm ( 36lbs ft)

Thanks for that Porter. It was me who asked the question on there and I saw the response. That has sparked a debate with my Tech who is suggestion a setting 20NM lower for the cushion bolts. For that reason I am trying to get a diversity of opinion on here. I have a suspicion that my Tech is quoting me pre 2014 settings.

OK sorry about that. I know mine where super tight from the factory,  I'd to remove the wheel to get a bit of a swing at em. I just tighten most things with a ring spanner so I've no idea the torque but its worked for me the three times I've done it so far.
