As above, could someone please give me the standard suspension linkage 'dog bone' length - measuring the hole centres. I just want to double check that mine wasn't lowered by the PO.
I have ~44mm clearance between rear tyre & the floor with bike on the centre stand (the forks are droped through ~10mm btw).
My links measure 142/143 mm hole centres.

140mm

OK, thank you Sam.
I think that's near enough to confirm that mine are standard.

Not necessarily! The ratio is about 3 or 4 to 1. So if yours are 3mm different then that would equate to about 10 to 12mm (or half an inch) difference to the ride height. If I remember correctly, the standard Suzuki links have the part number stamped on them where as aftermarket ones don't. I don't own a v-strom anymore so can't check for you. Maybe someone else (greywolf!) can give more info.

Google search shows a few threads on Strotrooper (don't know why I never thought to google first!
As you mention, stock links are 140mm, with a 2.8:1 ratio.
So if my measuring is correct mine coukd be 6-9 mm lower than stock.
I'm sure there are some stamp marks on the rh dog bone. I'll check later.

After a proper measure with verniers, it looks like I have stock 140mm links which are stamped '06G'
I might pich up some 20 or 25mm jack up links & put the forks nearer to stock.
