Title: Bars up and back now fouls tank bag
Post by: Ian T on June 18, 2016, 15:04:25
Wondered if anyone had the same problem. Just used risers to move bars up and back about an inch and now they foul my tank bag.

Bag is one of those Givi 25l tank lock ones. Had the plate in all positions and still fouls.

Any tips would be fab

Ian

Turn 'em round. Or see who has some straight up risers they may want to swap?

With my tank bag fitted and on full left lock the bag presses the starter button.

I fitted up 26mm bar raisers without issue. Looks like its the backwards that's causing your problem.

M&P have 26mm bar risers for £9.99.

Cheers everyone. Great stuff.

If I bin em they yours for free but going to give em a try for a while.

Cut up the wife's chopping board and got the Heath Robinson manual out and cobbled together a plate to raise the mounting plate and push it backwards. Looks crap but sort of works but still hitting horn.

So going to buy a 20mm piece of polypropylene or nylon and try it in one block. Need another inch I think. Mind you may end up with the bag in me lap.

Got straight up risers on mine & a Famsa tank bag, on full left lock my horn push operates! Never bothered me, I just look around and make out its somebody else!   :thumb:

Ha ha I must have been following you. Every time my horn sounded today someone kept turning round and looking at me.
