bike has just passed its first mot and all is well.
but the front tyre is pretty low so new one on order the thing is its only got 9000 miles on it(its a trail wing)
always keep the tyre pressure as book says.just seems a bit strange to me.
thanks

Why is it strange ? for a MC tyre it is good mileage. If all of us got that mileage out of our tyres we would be happy. Look to move onto road tyres when you can IMHO, like Roadsmarts of similar.

I got just over 6k on the OEM Trail 'Death' Wings hatted them from day one.
They were cracked, scalloped and gave very little confidence. You can get far far better tyres than what Bridgestone offer. -------> oponeo.co.uk (I should get commission off them!)
Michelin Pilot Road 1's were great road tyres and far far better in the wet. Newer versions should be better again. Anakee 2 were better for me than PR1's and 3's are supposed to be good for the road.
Personally I ride all year on crap roads so I opt for 50/50 or 60/40 (road/offroad) tyres. And Heidenau K60's are about the longest lived and confident wet or dry.

Just put 1,000 miles on Anakee 3's after throwing the Trailwings in the bin. The improvement is staggering. Whoever sanctioned the original tyre selection should be taken outside and shot. (that's any potential career for me at the BBC out of the window so I may as well throw in the word "Slope" for good measure).

When I went to pick up my new Vee2, I didn't even want to take it out of the dealer on OEM tyres. Fitted Michelin PR3 front and back and went out for my first ride. Now, 6 months and 6.000 km's later, they still look like new. They've seen everything from extreme heat to freezing rain and have never failed on me. True is, they've never left the pavement and never seen off-roading. The front one is PR3 Trail, as that's the only one that exists with the size for V-Strom. The rear one is pure road, as there is that kind in the size for V-Strom.
