Title: what tyres do you want??
Post by: DESERTRAIDER on June 11, 2009, 14:35:18
I've worked in a garage with bikes for 25 year now and one of my main jobs is fitting tyre to peoples bikes , tyres can be a funny thing to advise on as we all get a dif feel to are bike , best thing to do is tell the fitter what you do with your bike, ie ride like a loon or like a saint, do a bit of of roading to full offroad warrior , what's the point in putting something like tkc80 on, if your bikes never going to get near anything more than your front lawn , you want the best for your time on the bike , just ask and I will try and help the best I can

OK fella, I'll go first :thumb:

I want a road tyre, I never go off road, other than my drive, I want decent grip in ALL weather.   I'm a 'progressive' rider but not a luney.  People at work rave about the Mitchelin road 2CT's.  People have them on anything from supersports to GS's but someone mentioned that the Strom can't have them!?!?!

What do you recommend :thumb:

How are the trail attacks doing ? some good pair prices online at the moment and I need to change soon, all road  all year, will be showing Vstrom Dan the way around the Ardennes in September so damp/wet weather grip will need to be good.
