Title: Front 'fog' lights
Post by: Strombone on December 30, 2012, 20:45:25
Hello,

I was thinking of getting some of those auxiliary lights for the front to help  people to see me more easily.

I was thinking LED.

Can anyone recommend any and where do you put them? I have engine bars but the lights will be the first to go if I drop Big Suze.
Are they easy to fit and can the alternator take it when running heated grips as well? (That might be a stupid question but I'm not scared!  :)  )

Thanks!

I put "see me" lights inside the reach of my crash bars. A mounting bar held by the bolt through the side cowling into the radiator holds them. Such lights work best down low with some separation from the headlights.

I agree. Too close and they are 'lost'.

I look the look of your set-up there, Mr GW. Looks well cool! Am I right in thinking that  that your indicators are on all the time in  the US?

Nice rack of lighting. Looks very organised.

I changed out the bulb bases in the front indicators and added a wire to get running lights plus the brighter flashers. Combination running lights and indicators are not uncommon in other US bikes.

It's a list of a number of threads. Do a Google or Yahoo search on the following.

The link did not open at all, by the way
