Final mileage figure on my Strom
« on: July 25, 2015, 20:05:46 »
As some might know, I'm breaking the trusty old Strom. Today I started stripping bits off it to send to people who have bought them. Knowing that the bike will never do another mile I took a photo of the final mileage of the Strom. I have to admit, I was slightly sad, but, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. I have too many bikes and too little space now and with the Tracer in the garage the Strom isn't going to get any use any more.

110,169 miles, Rest In Pieces.

That bike had a hard life commuting and had a comprehensive rebuild. End of an era.

How many of those miles did you put on it Juvecu?

An excellent  amount of miles and probably the most I have seen for a bike but then again I'm only ten years into this biking thing!

I can understand your sadness but the new bike will treat you well too

End of an era - well done.
It must be hard to part after that time & mileage together :)
